A compact, thriving City located between Langley Township and Surrey to the west, with Aldergrove, Fort Langley and Walnut Grove close by. This urban centre, in a beautiful rural setting occupies 10 square kilometers (4 square miles) with a growing population estimated at 23,000 (1996). Here you will find the livability of a small community combined with a multitude of shops and retail outlets to explore in the downtown core (along the Fraser Highway) and at the Willowbrook Regional Shopping Centre -- a large, modern shopping mall. Local farms offer a variety of fresh produce available at road side markets or on a u-pick basis. Expect a wide assortment of farm gate products including: berries, vegetables, tree fruits, bulbs and plants. Major highways are the Fraser Highway (1A) crossing the City from east to west, Highway 10 transversing the City, Glover Road connecting to Highway 1 to the north, as well as convenient access to the United States border (15 minutes by auto) allow for easy access to Langley from all directions.
